When I came up with the name and cover design last year for this new album I've made, I had no idea how pertinent it would be to the world today!

Yes, I’ve been very slowly working on this strange creative project for the last few months: “Now Mash Your Hans” - a mashup tribute to Hans Zimmer.

It’s an entire album of mashups mixing the music of pioneering, oscar-winning film composer Hans Zimmer with a massive variety of samples spanning myriad musical genres - from hip-hop to disco, industrial to electro-pop, new wave to country, and everything in between.

Why did I do this? I have no bloody clue - probably because it’s funny to me how much effort I put into something this inexplicably odd; and if that’s not a good enough reason, then I don’t know what is.

Also, I’m a big fan of Mr. Zimmer’s work, which served as inspiration to me to compose my first songs all those years ago, thus this is my bizarre tribute to him.

So now, for the first time ever, you can actually sing along to Mr. Zimmer’s greatest works!

I'm releasing it for free to give you all something weird and wonderful to listen to during these strange times. Also, I don’t have any of the samples cleared, so I could easily be sued if I charged people for it. (But if you want to donate, you can do that too!).

If you were ever curious as to what it would sound like for Hozier to croon over the Interstellar soundtrack, or the Beastie Boys to spit rhymes to bombast of The Dark Knight, or what it might have sounded like if Nine Inch Nails collaborated on the Lion King soundtrack, then this is the album for you!

UPDATE:

I’ve also put together a Spotify playlist of all the songs sampled -

or at least as close as I can get to them with Spotify’s library!
